Our Signature Classes

  • This is TWG’s signature class that our founder and CEO, Jamie, has taught over three hundred times. This experiential, interactive course introduces participants to a practical, step-by-step Ethical Decision-Making Model. Students learn and apply the sequence of steps required to make ethical decisions that comply with organizational policies and procedures. Participants explore how to apply a “risk-management perspective” to assess a problem, develop an ethical solution, and act in the face of profound stress. Additionally, participants learn to think critically within the range of alternative solutions to a given problem, study the results of their actions, and create a competent “moral imagination” which enhances their ability to make difficult decisions in a variety of circumstances.

  • This training gives participants a foundation of understanding in 2SLGBTQIA+ awareness and explores the importance of creating inclusive spaces. Jamie covers key concepts, including language and definitions; the difference between sexual orientation, gender, and gender expression; and how to use inclusive language. Learners are also given a brief history of important dates and movements in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and how this knowledge helps increase cultural competence in the workplace. Finally, participants put all of this together and discover new ways to build inclusive cultures at work.

  • This course combines the evidence-based practices of interpersonal neurobiology with integral communication models such as Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and Motivational Interviewing to teach participants respectful, collaborative communication strategies. This systemic approach teaches the communicator how to listen empathetically, acknowledge others’ needs, construct behavior modification requests, and/or generate greater sales. Participants learn how to listen effectively, discover limiting beliefs, dispel labels, define the window of somatic tolerance, investigate the difference between impact and intention, and more. This course enhances every participant’s idea of what it means to be heard and respected and empowers them to communicate effectively through the identification of core needs.

  • Are you aware that there are multiple distinct learning and communication styles, and that they present a diversity issue within organizations? When someone is skilled at shifting their approach according to the communication style of their audience, their results are dramatically improved. This course is based on neurobiology, specifically brain science showing how people talk and listen, which impacts how a listener receives what you are trying to say. Communication styles impact the effectiveness of meetings, one-on-ones, and those quick moments at the water cooler. All of these interactions help or hinder your organization’s success, time management, and workplace culture.

In this course, participants learn how to immediately identify the learning and communication style of the person or people they are talking to. This helps you meet that person where they are by shifting your language in small, subtle ways. Jamie has taught thousands of learners this simple technique that they were able to apply immediately, and he has heard from hundreds of past participants how this course has improved their relationships at home and in the workplace.

“The answers to the real problems we face in organizations are rarely found in policy manuals.

Conscious leadership provides people with the tools they need to think through a problem, develop an ethical solution, and act in the face of profound stress. This is what we do.

This is who we are.”
