This training helps your organization invest in leadership skills that create inclusive workplaces, which attract and retain top talent while improving overall performance. The course begins with an interactive discussion where Jamie lays out the building blocks that all leaders need to foster inclusive spaces. He will ensure your leaders have foundational knowledge about DEIA language, current best practices, and the connection between DEIA initiatives and employee satisfaction. Learners will leave with tangible tools and tactics they can implement immediately to ensure they are being as proactive as possible with DEIA in their workplace.

Trauma is prevalent in our world and impacts many of the people we interact with, including staff and colleagues. A compassionate and trauma-informed approach to leadership is essential for creating healthy workplace cultures. Every organization, from any sector, can benefit from becoming trauma-informed.
Trauma-informed leaders not only understand and are aware of the impact of trauma in the workplace, they want to support those affected by trauma. In this engaging course, participants learn the key elements of being a trauma-informed leader. These include: taking a caring and compassionate approach to staff; how to assess and in some cases adjust their ways of interacting, making decisions, and communicating; and how to lead the promotion of trauma-informed practices in the workplace.

This experiential, evidence-based course consistently receives outstanding reviews and is regularly selected as a major component of our two- or three-day retreats. Participants learn about the 32 leadership competencies and create their leadership profile to discover which of these competencies they personally fully understand. Then, learners focus on the competencies they need to develop further and create an action plan to acquire those competencies.
In this course, participants also examine the benefits and drawbacks of various management and leadership styles. We focus on the qualities of personal awareness and openness to growth that every great leader possesses. Like our People Leaders course, Leadership Competencies is also ideal for succession planning.

Training the Trainer addresses individuals involved in developing curriculum, presenting in-house training material, and/or overseeing the training of new employees. Jamie can offer a high-level overview for a shorter class, or provide a multi-day training, or customize the course for any duration. During this highly interactive and exciting course, participants learn how to deliver effective, meaningful, relevant training. Among our subjects are learning styles, tricks of the trade, and other classroom topics. Participants practice effective classroom management styles and receive a toolkit to help them develop their next training.
