Diversity Matters

Organizations that work toward a truly diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace successfully recruit top talent, improve talent retention, have highly engaged employees, and increase their productivity and overall bottom line. At TWG we offer a wide range of courses covering diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Through the lens of cultural competence, TWG's experiential and evidence-based courses invite participants to create inclusive spaces for all.

People Leaders

Exceptional people leaders have a clear vision and possess highly attuned emotional intelligence. They know that fostering a collaborative, creative work environment is essential, and they inspire others through their willingness to get uncomfortable in the interest of growth. Our selection of courses has been created specifically for people leaders. Our tools can be immediately implemented by leaders, from first-time managers to experienced senior executives in organizations of any size.

Exceptional Communication

Exceptional communication skills are the bedrock of successful business practices because they create a positive and productive work environment. They enable us to express our ideas clearly, understand others, and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients. TWG's suite of communication courses provides learner-centric, effective, and engaging training designed to immediately improve individual and organizational messaging, team dynamics, and overall communication.

Ethical Decision-Making and Risk Management

This is TWG’s signature class that our founder and CEO, Jamie, has taught over three hundred times. This experiential, interactive, evidence-based course introduces participants to a practical, step-by-step Ethical Decision-Making Model. Participants learn and apply the sequence of steps required to make ethical decisions that comply with organizational policies and procedures. Participants explore how to apply a “risk-management perspective” to assess a problem, develop an ethical solution, and act in the face of profound stress. Additionally, participants learn to think critically within the range of alternative solutions to a given problem, study the results of their actions, use discretionary time to their advantage, and create a competent “moral imagination” which enhances their ability to make difficult decisions in a variety of circumstances.

  • Jamie brings the ideal balance of authentic vulnerability, inspiring and humorous energy, customized content, and practical applications to every keynote he delivers. Whether it is a conference of 3,500 or the boardroom of a Community-Based Organization, Jamie's messages are profound, human-centric, and motivational. He will collaborate with you to identify the right topic for your event around his specialties in DEIA, Ethics and Risk Management, Communication, and Leadership. Jamie boldly confronts the real issues faced by organizations of every size and masterfully conveys his messages in dynamic, accessible, and tangible ways.

  • A panel facilitator helps your audience access multiple points of view, adding a deeper perspective to your overall event. Jamie is an experienced and sought-after facilitator due to his expertise in managing groups, his ability to bring people together, and his breadth of overall knowledge. He is a "born interviewer" and a genuinely curious person, whose practice of conscious communication invites participants into the toughest of topics. Jamie asks relevant questions and mindfully leads conversations toward your organization’s goal, ensuring the audience gains a full understanding of the discussion topic.

  • Breakout sessions greatly increase attendees’ participation and enjoyment by allowing focused, in-depth discussions during larger events. Jamie has led hundreds of breakout sessions at conferences, training events, and retreats over the past twenty-five years. His humor and candor help people dive deeper into a specific piece of the overall event, ensuring they fully understand the "whys" and "hows". Attendees complete his sessions having increased clarity on the breakout session topic, understanding how it relates to their job and organization, and wanting even more interaction. Jamie invites participants to engage in the conversation and improves thoughtful participation thanks to his expertise in facilitation and classroom management.

  • Over twenty-five years, Jamie has facilitated innumerable retreats for executive and leadership teams of five to one hundred participants. Whether at a retreat center on the water or in company-owned spaces, he creates an environment where each person can bring their whole self to the table. He invites participation from everyone and uses an array of methods that bring out the best in people while constantly pursuing the desired outcome or shared vision. His ability to create spaces of comfort and open dialogue is widely lauded.

  • Our Diversity Matters Assessments will help you understand your organization’s current state of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. We provide our clients a baseline DEIA assessment with a thorough analysis of your gaps, risks, challenges, and opportunities. Assessments offer you actionable recommendations and the support you need to implement them and make positive, impactful changes.

  • TWG offers training curated for your unique organization or team in a variety of formats. Jamie’s pedagogical expertise and classroom management skills make him uniquely qualified to take on complex, and sometimes emotionally intense, topics for diverse groups of learners. He specializes in adapting to the students in his classes, pivoting as needed based on their questions, and using proven adult-learning techniques to present evidence-based content.
